3 Filipino Skin Tints for Dry Skin

Do you have dry skin and want something good? Then you have certainly come to the right place. Dry skin is often so underrepresented in the Filipino beauty market. Hence, looking for products we know are designed for our skin can be troublesome. Does everything need to be all-matte, you might ask?

Fear not, though: this article will discuss what we want and need from a skin tint—and, of course, the skin tints that we think fit the dry skin type.

What We Look For In A Skin Tint

  • Lightweight: We’re looking for a skin tint that feels light on the skin, which is also why we’d prefer to look for this instead of a foundation. A lightweight base is suitable for everyday use because it’s comfortable and won’t look like you have makeup piled on your face!
  • Seamless: We’d love a base that blends well into the skin and doesn’t cake easily. Yeah, caking is normal. However, with many great competitors in the market, we’re also setting higher expectations for the kind of formula we want. We want something easy to blend.
  • Shade ranges: And of course, we want decent shade ranges with the diversity of different Filipino skin tones. Cool and olive-toned, in particular, have a demand in the market, especially for morena girlies out here who were taught to see that they were warm-toned.
  • Longevity: The weather here in the Philippines is no joke. Sometimes, it’s rainy. But most of all, it tends to get humid as heck. We want something that can stand the humidity!

Skin Tints

Lucky Beauty Angel Skin Veil

NBA Odds weren’t sure, but Andrea Brillantes was able to launch her brand’s skin tint. This skin tint feels like a serum. Before putting the material on your hand, it needs to be shaken. The formula is runny and reminds me of Glossier Skin Tint. The coverage feels like skin and is very light to medium.

However, it tends to leak. The shade range is quite good – great!

Vice Cosmetics Blurrfection Skin Tint

Vice Cosmetics Blurrfection Skin Tint boasts ingredients that are good for the skin—these include Macadamia Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, vitamin C, and, of course, a dose of protection with SPF 30.

It’s got a good shade range, with the shade Freshnezz as something that can fit someone who is a Mac in NC25! It also lasts for a long time, leaving behind a second skin finish that remains seamless the whole day. It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel like a mask, too.

Issy Skin Tint

If you still know this tint, then you’re certainly an OG! The classic Issy formula has become more moisturizing; it applies smoothly like silk and feels like skin. The result? It’s a seamless product that will work on dry-skinned girls who want a second-skin finish.

The best part is that Issy was one of the brands that pioneered having more comprehensive shade ranges.

Wrapping Up

Although dry skin may be underrepresented among skin types here, there are still a few options from the local market that can fulfill this need. All these that we’ve featured now boast wider skin tone ranges and quality. This is growth, and we believe that there can be better.
